Located in the heart of Yountville, Hurley's serves fresh seasonal cuisine with a Mediterranean flair and is a favorite of local winemakers. The restaurant has received accolades from many food critics and Zagat raves about the "great wild game menu" that is prepared for special occasions.

Chef/owner Bob Hurley is a long time Napa Valley chef with previous executive chef positions at Napa Valley Grill and Domain Chandon. He opened Hurley's in 2002 and believes in fresh, locally grown products for his menu. Bob created a great wild game menu paired with wines from our cellar for our event.

Festivities began with a 6:30 reception featuring Moroccan Lamb Brochettes with Raita and Tuna Nicoise on Baguette slices served with Mumm Brut Reserve Sparkling Wine and 2008 Saddleback Cellars Chardonnay. Dinner followed starting with a choice of Venison Carpaccio with Herb & Fennel Salad, pickled onions, shaved Parmesan and Truffle Oil; or Pancetta-wrapped Quail & Sausage Brochette with warm Cabbage Salad paired with 2008 Saddleback Cellars Chardonnay and 2007 David Noyes Crane Vineyard Pinot Noir.

Our entree was a choice of Braised Wild Boar with Creamy Polenta and Seasonal Vegetables; or Roasted Wild Sturgeon with Stewed French Lentils, Pancetta, Wild Mushrooms and Pinot Noir Glaze; paired with 2005 Terra Valentine Marriage Bordeaux blend, 2006 Chinnock Cellars Reserve Merlot and 2007 David Noyes Crane Vineyard Pinot Noir.

And finally for dessert, a choice of Valrhona Chocolate Almond Torte with Candied Almonds and Vanilla Creme Fraiche; or a selection of three Artisan Cheeses with Truffle Honey, Fresh Fruit and Oat Crackers.

WOW!! WHAT A "WILD" MENU paired with great wines. This was a wonderful dinner event and our members enjoyed it.
