On Saturday evening, March 12, Napa branch members convened at Uva Trattoria in downtown Napa for a winemaker dinner featuring the acclaimed wines of Pride Mountain Estate Winery.

Festivities began with a reception featuring Salumi Misti; assorted Italian Salumi and medley of Olives served with Pride 2009 Chardonnay, Napa.

Dinner followed beginning with Insalata Di Polpo; Warm Octopus, Arugula, Cannellini Beans and Citrus Vinaigrette paired with Pride 2009 Viognier, Sonoma. Our entree was a choice of Vitello A La Griglia; Grilled Niman Ranch Veal Chop with Pancetta & Fontina Cheese Risotto or Pollo A La Cacciatore; Braised Chicken Breast over soft Polenta, paired with Pride 2008 Merlot, Napa; Pride 2008 Cabernet Franc, Sonoma; and Pride 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa. And for dessert, Tiramisu with Chocolate Sauce.

Pride Director of Marketing Tim Bouchet was on hand to describe the characteristics and wine making efforts for each of the wines that were served. He also provided a brief history and overview of Pride Mountain Estate Winery.

This fabulous evening of great wines and food was arranged by cellar master Jerry Robertson.
