Our members dug out their best cowgirl/cowboy outfits and boots for this fantastic western themed dinner.

Festivities began with a reception at 6pm featuring Garden Vegetables/Dip; Assorted Cheeses with artisan breads and crackers; Panko Oysters with Lemon Aioli; Prawns with Cocktail Sauce; paired with 2005 Hall and 2005 Honig Sauvignon Blanc; 2006 Paras Viognier and 2007 Jordan Russian River Chardonnay.

A buffet dinner followed with Thai Spinach Salad with Candied Pecans; Garden Tomatoes & Goat Cheese with fresh Mint; seared Local Salmon with Tomato Beurre Blanc; Grilled Lamb Sirloin with Cabernet Sauce; Orzo Pasta with Garden Pesto; fresh Baked Bread with Olive Oil; paired with 2007 Whitehall Lane Pinot Noir; 2007 David Noyes Crane Vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir; 2005 Paras Vineyard Merlot; 2000 Cliff Lede Cabernet Sauvignon; and 2005 Montes Alpha D.O. Colchagua Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

And finally for dessert, there was a seasonal Fresh Fruit Cobbler with Milli Vanilli.

A special prize, a bottle of St. Clement Orropas, was awarded to Sheila Light, judged to have the best western outfit.
